The Wisconsin Department of Revenue has announced the availability of grants through the Wisconsin DNR for Wisconsin residents to treat contamination in their private wells.
To qualify for the grant program, the applicant must meet income eligibility, and the contamination must be documented by a certified test laboratory.
What type of contamination substances qualify for the grant program?
According to the DNR, qualifying wells must contain one of the following substances, and the amount of the substance is higher than the maximum allowed. Samples must be analyzed by the state laboratory of hygiene or by a certified laboratory.
